Back to the Future: Archaeology and Cultural Tourism “on Play”. Is the video game a tool for communicating museums and promoting cultural heritage? This is the Archeovirtual challenge in occasion of the twenty years’ celebration of BMTA.
Archeovirtual is an exhibition of interactive digital projects related to the field of archaeology and cultural heritage, organized by CNR ITABC Vhlab under the direction of Sofia Pescarin.
Every year, since 2006, the exhibition is organized in the framework of the Mediterranean Archaeological Tourism Exchange Fair (BMTA), an international event visited by thousands of people, which has become the point of reference and meeting for institutions (ministries, superintendences, museums), professionals (companies, archaeologists, etc.) and tourist organizations (tour operators etc.). In 2017 BMTA celebrates its 20 years of activity.
